When Mariah was called to lead the renovation and design of this Italian Renaissance home built in 1912, she knew she was the right person for the job. In close collaboration with her client, Frankie Rayder, Mariah’s deep love for the architectural style and respect for the home’s illustrious history guided every design decision.

Mindful of her client’s laid-back sensibility, which sits in gentle contrast to the formality of the architecture, Mariah restored each fireplace to working condition and clad the kitchen in custom walnut millwork and hand-made Motawi tile. In honoring the original architecture, spaces were kept intentionally uncluttered, furnished with pieces that are simple, beautiful, and functional.
